Our mission is to inspire healing through storytelling.
Saavi Productions intends to work with culturally diverse people in the film industry - and those who aspire to be! We also focus on collaborating specifically with women and POC. We want to lift up unheard voices and untapped talent and give them an opportunity to shine through this platform.

our founder
Sally Avina is a Hispanic entrepreneur, best known for her virtual accounting and business consulting firm, Saavi Solutions. You may have also worked with her when she was your neighborhood Realtor, or your baker for your kid’s birthday cake! (Make sure to subscribe to her blog to find out more about her unique journey!)
She is passionate about helping others and wants to inspire healing through stories portrayed in film. She is an advocate for mental health, a board member for the online Latinx/e community, P.S. Comadres, and a contributor to local charities that support underprivileged children of color.
At a young age, she was inspired to learn what it takes to become a business owner because she understood that she needed to know how to effectively manage finances and learn how to collaborate well with diverse groups of people in order to successfully achieve a career in the film industry - and - wanted to do everything possible to avoid the “starving artist” trope.
As life played out and as she was gradually exposed to societal conditioning - the more challenging it became to pivot from her career in accounting into creatively expressing herself through acting. Yes, this all started with the intention to tell stories through the craft of acting! She thought she needed to wait until she was an expert in filmmaking before she could take action on launching Saavi Productions. The truth is that we are always learning and evolving. We’ll never feel perfect enough to start something, so, just get started!
Sally enjoys reading books, hiking, watching movies (of course), and a strong cup of coffee (hold the cream and sugar, please). She lives in SoCal with her husband and her two mutts, Cleo and Rajah.
